Mercy Ships currently works off the West Coast of Africa, docking for several months in different countries as they are invited by the respective Governments. In February, this year, the world’s first purpose-built hospital ship, the Global Mercy, came into service in Senegal. It has recently moved to Sierra Leonne, docking there for several months while life changing, free surgeries are performed. The new Global Mercy has six operating theatres on-board and helps, free of charge, those who have so little.
